About Rambler Kane

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a kid, I remember the car rides sitting in the back of my parents' car and listening to classic Soul and Motown: Otis, Sam, Marvin, Smokey, Aretha, the Temptations, the Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas. I love all of that stuff to this day. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? American Aquarium, Burn.Flicker.Die Otis Redding, Otis Blue/Otis Redding Sings Soul (Collector's Edition) Townes Van Zandt, Live at the Old Quarter, Houston, Texas My favorite legendary Townes and Otis recordings are on those albums. "Burn.Flicker.Die" is not just legendary, but it's also the first vinyl I ever got, when I got to open for BJ Barham in Jacksonville. These 3 albums will always be special to me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Fool's Gold” This is the first song I ever wrote lyrics first, without a guitar or any vocal melody. I sat down at the end of a long night at the bars and did something I rarely did then: I was honest with myself. I wrote a hard truth; that changed things for me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Every one of them. I think songwriters have this way of remembering, whether we're sentimental or melancholy. Every moment is memorable: the good, the bad, the ugly. But my favorite by far is the live album recording. It was like a redemption for me. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My dream is to drive all around the country in a van and play as often as possible. So building a life as a full-time traveling troubadour is the ultimate goal - playing anywhere and everywhere that people come together and enjoy live original music.
