When the popular Andalusian pop group Los Caños disbanded in 2005, one-third of the trio was offered a solo deal with Sony BMG. Kiko had recorded four successful discs with Los Caños, and appreciated the opportunity to make a name for himself as a solo artist. His sister Shara was invited to sing a duet with him on his debut solo CD. However, when record execs heard the siblings singing together, they fell in love with the idea of Kiko & Shara. Their self-titled CD hit the market in May 2006, featuring the radio hit "Puede Ser." ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
