About DJ Sun

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At the age of 10, my neighbor, Stephen and I, would listen to records, almost daily. We were living in Suriname and the musical pallet of the local radio stations offered a wide variety of music from jazz to soul to zouk and our own music, kaseko. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A Tribe Called Quest, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm (25th Anniversary Edition) Bob Marley & The Wailers, Rastaman Vibration (2013 Remaster) Massive Attack, Blue Lines (2012 Mix/Master) These albums provided the most inspiration to me during different aspects of my life and for different reassons. They all at the time of their release were albums that I enjoyed (and still do) from start to finish without interruption. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Marksonthekeys (feat. Mark Sound)” I managed to program the drums exactly how I envisioned them after I heard a similar pattern on a favorite song; they sit well against the keys, which were played in the early 2000s by Mark Speer (Khruangbin) in my home studio in Montrose, Houston.
