Leonard Bernstein, New York Philharmonic, Rudolf Serkin, Beethoven: Concerto No. 5 in E-Flat Major for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 73 "Emperor" Ornette Coleman, The Best of Ornette Coleman: The Blue Note Years Stephen Drury, In a Landscape: Piano Music of John Cage I chose Beethoven's 5th piano concerto because it revealed to me the deepest realms of human emotion; Ornette Coleman because I learned that musical voice matters and that improvisation is magical; John Cage because it is so minimal and beautiful.
