Discovered by Stevie Wonder, R&B singer and actress Andra Day brings a retro sensibility to songs that feel distinctly modern. • Day began singing as a kid at First United Methodist Church in Chula Vista, California. As a preteen, she discovered classic jazz singers like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. • She worked more than 20 jobs after high school and was discovered by Stevie Wonder’s then-wife, Kai Millard.
