Music has always been a part of José Jacson de Siqueira’s world. He grew up accompanying his mother to her performances in Ouricuri before taking the stage himself at small parties and bars. He danced between a variety of odd jobs, washing cars and selling ice cream while distributing copies of his self-penned records at fairgrounds. Under the moniker Zé Vaqueiro, he began to share songs online, where his compelling mix of country rhythms found a fervent following.
