Supergroup Pistol Annies arrived in 2011 to show the world there was plenty of room for women in the outlaw-country realm. Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley are all mighty maverick singer/songwriters on their own. But when they band together for tunes like the slinky, bluesy mission statement "Hell On Heels", the down 'n' dirty country stomper "Bad Example", and the ragged-but-right honky-tonker "Trailer for Rent", Pistol Annies come off as a posse that takes no mess from the men around them and won't hesitate to pull on their bad-girl boots and start kicking butt.
