Each year, Sydney’s Mardi Gras celebrations culminate in a massive parade. Floats representing every corner of the LGBTQ+ community are on display, with thousands of performers and attendees singing, dancing and celebrating loudly and proudly. The parade’s traditional route runs through Sydney’s Oxford Street, from the city centre through the colloquially known “Gay Golden Mile”—home to many of Sydney’s queer-friendly bars and clubs—to Flinders Street and Moore Park.
