La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol Essentials
Apple Music
Burgos collective La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol emerged in the early ‘10s with a bunch of acoustic, raspy-voiced anthems that borrow from rock and bluegrass. Pairing buoyant folk rhythms with resonant lyrics, the band readily connected with audiences across Spain, frequently leading melodious chants at their live shows to songs like the accordion-laden “Nómadas”. While blues and country are their main sources of inspiration, La M.O.D.A. also use instruments like the clarinet in some of their richer arrangements, such as those on 2017 album Salvavida (de las balas perdidas).
