Within both romantic piano ballads and manic Beethoven-sampling pop whirlwinds, IVY is a K-pop pro. She emerged in 2005, but it took a couple years for her to break out via the topsy-turvy, Spanish-guitar-tinged pop number “Sonata of Temptation”, which features a snippet of “Für Elise” within its zig-zagging structure. Since then, IVY has dabbled in other uptempo forms, such as techno-pop (“Touch Me”), while also embracing piano-backed ballads that allow her to show off her vocal range (“If You're Gonna Be Like This”). In whatever form, IVY brings her best and makes her songs come alive.
