GZA Essentials

By the time the Wu-Tang Clan began their attack on the music industry in 1992, the GZA had already made an attempt at a solo career with 1991's Words from the Genius album—a project that spawned the cult favourite "Pass The Bone”. Credited with helping to teach many of the Clan's emcees how to rhyme, it's no surprise that the Brooklyn-born rapper's verbals are always razor sharp, with 1995's Liquid Swords hailed as a crime rap masterpiece. When it comes to painting vivid pictures and dropping insightful commentary, no one does it like the GZA.
