Fusing bluegrass with elements of rock, progressive, and improvisational music, the Yonder Mountain String Band have become one of the most celebrated acts on the acoustic music scene, thanks to their inventive style and busy touring schedule. A group that cheerfully explores the outer boundaries of their music, they're known for their strong instrumental skills and knack for improvisational interplay, which have made them an act whose loyal and growing cult following has stood by them for more than 20 years. Best known as a live act, the Yonder Mountain String Band's most representative releases are concert recordings, such as those in their Mountain Tracks series, but on 2006's Yonder Mountain String Band, 2017's Love Ain't Love, and 2022's Get Yourself Outside, they showed they were capable of creating unique and ambitious music in the studio.
