Victor Victor

About Victor Victor

Tropical artist Victor Victor recorded his first song, "La Casita," in 1972. Soon, the young Dominican singer/songwriter started leading a band called Nueva Fortuna. In 1978, Victor Victor assembled Flanboyan, his second outfit to play the bachata-merengue style around the country. "Mesita de Noche" and "Asi Es Mi Amor" became his major hits. In addition, artists such as Celia Cruz, Azúcar Moreno, Danny Rivera, and Emmanuel began recording his compositions. After working for the local government as cultural councillor, Victor Victor returned to the Latin music scene with the release of Pisando Rayas, featuring the hit single "Yo La Tengo." ~ Drago Bonacich
