In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up hearing my mom playing violin, preparing for performances and teaching her students. The Bach solo violin partitas and some of the early Suzuki repertoire feel like a part of me now, bringing back so many memories when I hear them. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Return” I really love this song Return, it opened up an entirely new creative direction for me. Originally an ep outro, I recorded this one in my hometown Ithaca NY and there's a certain magic in it. The response to this song led me to do full piano albums! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing a DJ set at Splash House was still one of my favorite festival sets I've gotten to do. It was early in my career and everything was just so exciting and fun and new. It's kind of a mini-festival and the energy is just so positive! I loved it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd really love to play the Hollywood Bowl someday. It's my favorite place in the world to see live music, and the LA Phil summer concerts are always so inspiring for me. Joe Hisaishi's show last year was a highlight, and I dream of performing here.
