It would be an understatement to say that a show about the mysterious return of a man believed dead is a sombre affair, so Max Richter’s dark score for the show fits the bill. The bone-rattling pulses and deep brass chords of “Openings” and the dissonant strings of “Nocturnal” set a gloomy tone, whereas “A Lamenting Song” provides a beautiful moment of levity.
