The Best of Rashed Al Majid

Veteran Saudi singer and musician Rashed Al Majid played a major role in spreading indigenous Gulf music during the '80s. One of the largest record producers in the Middle East, he further expanded khaleeji music's reach with two '90s breakthrough albums, Adunya Hathooth and Allah Kareem. The genre's blend of poetic lyrics, folk music and transcendent vocals acquired a new-fangled pop sheen, in part, to his numerous collaborations with UAE leading artists such as Hussain Al Jassmi.
