Pop singer Faouzia pairs her throaty, resonant voice with anthemic hooks and rhythmic contemporary production. • Faouzia writes songs in English and in French, depending on her mood and inspiration. She’s also fluent in Arabic. • She was 15 when her song “Mes Cicatrices” won the grand prize in a 2015 competition held by Le 100 Nons, a francophone music advocacy group in Manitoba, Canada, where Faouzia has lived since moving there from Morocco when she was one year old. • Faouzia also won a competition for unsigned artists in Nashville in 2016 and—with fellow Manitoban Matt Epp—the International Songwriting Competition in 2017. • Though she began releasing singles in 2015, Faouzia’s international breakthrough came in 2018 when she sang on David Guetta’s song “Battle”.
