Tyler Smyth is like a wrecking ball demolishing the walls dividing post-hardcore from EDM and pop. Just about any band he has produced since the early 2010s—Falling in Reverse, I Prevail, Issues, his own Dangerkids—winds up dropping a record that defies genre. Not unlike his heroes in Linkin Park, Smyth loves club jams as much as he does rock; it’s this very passion that allows him to go bold with the synths, dance grooves and epic hooks.
