Representing a fresh generation of French hip-hop, Lomepal adopts a magpie approach as he draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists. His roll call includes Sonic Youth's pulsing proto-grunge, The Cure's melancholic pop and New Order's synth-laden new wave. The colourful rapper also takes cues from the iconic David Bowie, most notably his notoriously shape-shifting stage presence.
