Formed in Philadelphia in 1991, Bardo Pond have spent the years perfecting a kind of sludgy, noisy psychedelic rock that calls to mind Spacemen 3 or The Velvet Underground at their most unhinged. Over the course of their lengthy discography, the band's music has shifted in small but dramatic ways, finding new depths of sonic overload to mine. Bardo Pond also take great joy in collaborating with other artists, including their work with Roy Montgomery as Hash Jar Tempo, and with Japanese psych bands Suishou No Fune and LSD March.
