Singer/songwriter Alaska arrived on Spain's avant-garde scene in the late ‘70s oozing glam, sass and occultish punk. Within a few years, the gothic trailblazer would forge a mystical world of Spanish New Wave, and her influence began to spread through her work with the bands Los Pegamoides and Dinamara. By the early ‘90s, Alaska's duo with Nacho Canut, Fangoria, were making a name for themselves by crafting bewitching electro-pop with a dark side, giving Alaska a vehicle to maintain her staying power as Latin punk's gloriously dark poetess.
