Reptaliens

Portland-based indie outfit Reptaliens hide their far-out inspirations in light, easygoing pop songs. The married songwriting team of Bambi and Cole Browning started out writing tunes that filtered themes of romance and relationships through a decidedly sci-fi lens, touching on alien abduction and other surreal topics in their warped songs of love and longing. All of this was delivered with a smooth, somewhat lo-fi sound on their 2017 debut album, FM-2030, and mutated into different forms as the band explored art-damaged synth pop on 2019's Valis and a back-to-basics rock approach on 2022's Multiverse.
