Born Kenyatta Lee Frazier Jr. in 2000, he began his career in 2015 as a member of 808 Mafia. He hit his stride after joining Carti's Opium label in 2019, and in 2021 he released Project X, a stylish debut embedded with metallic melodies and soundscapes that could soundtrack Nintendo 64 games. In subsequent years, he fortified his catalogue with projects like X, XTENDED and A Great Chaos. While those efforts bore the traces of Playboi Carti’s stylistic influence, Carson's output has secured him a space all to himself in the hip-hop continuum—a realm of his own that’s as engrossing as it is futuristic.
