A Swedish avant-electronic composer, lecturer, author, and producer who has written for theater, film, ballet, art exhibitions, and various multimedia productions, Allan Gutheim spent his formative years studying music theory, composition, and piano. In 1994, after spending the late '70s and '80' at the electro-acoustic music and sound art studio EMS in Stockholm, he founded his own studio and production company, Real Time Music. During that time he also taught music theory and digital production at Stockholm's Kulturama art school. In 2013, along with collaborative art duo Unda Arte (Swedish-Estonian artist, Marie Lundvall and the Swedish artist, Peder Bjoerk), Gutheim issued Postmodern Substrada, a deluxe art portfolio that featured 15 original prints and a literary text-heavy 28-page booklet designed by Lundvall and Peder Bjoerk, and a four-track CD single of songs culled from Gutheim's archives. ~ James Christopher Monger
