Luis Enrique Essentials

Born in Nicaragua and raised in California, salsa singer Luis Enrique helped kick off the salsa romantica movement of the ‘80s, singing with the immensely popular band Sensation 85 alongside La Palabra and Nestor Torres. His resonant voice and charming delivery soon made him a star in his own right and he released his debut solo album, Amor De Media Noche, in 1987. Enrique henceforth remained a fixture in the salsa scene. His 2009 release, Ciclos, was nominated for several Latin GRAMMY® awards.
