Philip Bliss

This American composer had originally been educated for the ministry. He was also an organist and music editor. Bliss composed numerous pieces works for piano pieces, solo pieces for organ and violin, operettas, church music, and a bevy of songs. Many of his church songs can be categorized as gosp hymnodies.
