About Geordie Kieffer

A self-styled pop provocateur who melds electro and bedroom hip-pop with eye-poppingly raunchy boasts, Geordie Kieffer lives on the edge. Born George David Kieffer in 1990, he grew up in the pop hotbed of Los Angeles, and he differentiated himself by being brashly poetic, developing a style that he refers to as “agro-pop”. His 2016 breakthrough single “Red Line”—which opens with him declaring that he “come[s] from a long, long line of denim jean”—introduced his style, wherein his Adam Levine-echoing voice details his hedonism over a bare-bones glitchy beat; follow-up cuts, including the anti-hater broadside “Gut”, the sex-metaphor-laden cut “Swinger” and the bass-heavy statement of purpose “ICON KILLER”, further established him as a dweller of pop’s seedy underbelly. His 2021 EP Agro Pop collected his early singles and added some new cuts, including the fast-talking “The Car Song”.
