About Dirty Faces

The aural equivalent of a levelling quarterback sack (courtesy of the Pittsburgh Steelers, naturally), the Dirty Faces played rock and roll like none of their contemporaries--with a frighteningly nervy tooth and psychic violence. Fusing influences such as the Wu-Tang Clan, Royal Trux, and rust belt punk with '70s arena rockisms, the Pittsburgh-to-the-bone band were prideful outcasts at the '00s indie rock party. Frontman T. Glitter spat literate beat attitude like the spawn of Zach De La Rocha and Mark E. Smith. Very few people cared, but those who witnessed--or heard their scattered output for Brah Records--cherished the band's bracing, decidedly original mutant garage.
