Jack Endino: The Producers

Producing the first Nirvana album, and spending all of six hundred bucks on it, should have made Jack Endino a household name. A musician in his own right—both solo and as a member of Skin Yard—Endino looked to capture raw music with few studio frills. His work with Soundgarden, Mudhoney and L7 helped create grunge before the term existed, and many of Sub Pop's key albums bear his name.
