Paris-born singer/songwriter Nicolas Peyrac started out writing for other artists, but he became famous in his own right in the mid-‘70s for a sound that combined romantic chanson influences with atmospheric jazz touches. Peyrac's career has had its share of peaks and valleys. By the end of the ‘80s, he had removed himself from the music world completely, but by the mid-‘90s he was back on the scene with a renewed sense of purpose.
