Rising from the ashes of pop-rock band Terraplane, hard rock stalwarts Thunder emerged in 1989. The natural chemistry between lead singer Danny Bowes' raspy vocals and Luke Morley's classic guitar solos—the two have been playing together since the age of 15—put Thunder on the map, with their popularity reaching a devoted Japanese fanbase. A long list of albums influenced by '80s LA glam-metal, hair-metal and British hard rock stretches back to 1990, and although they've threatened to call it a day a few times, the unyielding power of rock has never allowed them to quit.
