By the age of 14, Fukuma had set his sights on a career as a pianist. He won a number of prizes at the 15th Cleveland International Piano Competition when he was just 20 years old. Since then, Fukuma has performed at major classical venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Shanghai Oriental Art Center. Fukuma’s delicate essence is plainly heard in all his recordings, with an ability to bring elegant dynamism from the keys to the ears of audiences around the world.
