Fielfraz took up the mantle of guitar rock heroes in the ‘90s, defying the trend towards synth-pop and New Wave in their native Denmark. The group's blend of hard-edged grunge and thoughtful song structures gave heavier, guitar-based music a new foothold in their country and ushered in a new era of alternative. With each of their albums Fielfraz showcased new inspirations, such as early hair metal melodies with lashings of guitar effects and the sleek and cheeky Britpop charm of their later efforts.
