DJ Drama became a phenomenon in the '00s with his Gangsta Grillz mixtapes. After proving his ability to break talent in the streets the Philadelphia-born deejay and producer packed his 2007 studio debut, Gangsta Grillz: The Album, with a glittering array of rap talent: OutKast lined up alongside Marsha Ambrosius while Nelly, T.I., Diddy, Yung Joc, Willie the Kid, Jeezy and Twista combined for a stomping posse cut. 2011's Third Power and the following year's Quality Street Music continued to show the strength of Drama's ability to pair rappers with banging beats.
