The sun always seems to be shining on the small towns that Craig Morgan sings about. On "Redneck Yacht Club", a subversive 2005 hit, he invites the listener to a lake hangout for the working class, getting the party started with an unexpected combination of fiddle and funk bass. "That's What I Love About Sunday" describes the morning after, but rather than nursing a hangover, he and his family head to church, then go home for some backyard football. The clouds do roll in on "Almost Home", a stirring account of the life of a homeless man, but even here, a sad story is buoyed by Morgan's warm sense of compassion.
