Not too long after the demise of Sprocket Wheels, guitarist Shimo wanted to continue on with the rock and roll lifestyle up and down the coast of Japan with his new project Water Closet. Often compared to the likes of Rites of Spring, J-Church and Fuel, these guys combines elements of chaotic emo-pop lead on by Asuka's soulful, female voice. Having been blown away on Water Closet's first West Coast tour in 1998, Broken Rekids released their American debut with the full-length "Time is Cool" the following year. ~ Mike DaRonco
