About Tina Ardor

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I fell in love with music around when I was 10 years old. Singing and dancing to traditional folk songs and singing the Psalms in Church sparked a new energy in me. It changed my life and I knew I was hooked. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kayamba Africa, Kayamba Africa Peter Phillips, The Tallis Scholars, Allegri's Miserere - Palestrina's Missa Papae Marcelli - Mundy's Vox Patris caelestis Sona Jobarteh, Badinyaa Kumoo Allegri's Miserere is a timeless classic that is ethereal and inspiring to me as a vocalist. Kayamba Africa (and Fiesta) brought a new interpretation to Kenyan traditional folk music, & Sona Jobarteh is downright magical, especially playing the Kora. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Kamweretho (Soul Reprise) [feat. Hendrick Sam]” Kamweretho is the definition of artistic freedom with blissful results. From 3 artists providing their own piece of magic, I look back and keep saying "It was meant to happen the way it did." What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at my first DJ/hybrid gig. It was in October 2020, during the Covid lockdown at an underground intimate party. The place was packed and I was the star of the show. The vibe was beyond my wildest imagination! I wish to relive that moment... Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes! There's always something left on the bucket list. I look forward to redefining live performances and adding more flavour to the music!
