Composer/lyricist Laurence O'Keefe first emerged on the international musical-theater stage in the late '90s with the eventual cult classic Bat Boy. He made his Broadway debut in 2007 with the perkier but also subversive Legally Blonde, earning him a Tony nomination for score. Another irreverent comedic film adaptation, Heathers premiered off-Broadway in 2014 featuring music by O'Keefe. ~ Marcy Donelson
