The KammerChor Saarbrücken was founded in 1990 by Georg Grün, a conductor trained at several music schools in Saarbrücken in western Germany. He remained the group's conductor and artistic director as of the early 2020s. The group has about 40 singers. In 2000, the choir released its debut album, featuring the Johannes-Passion and motets by Renaissance composer Christoph Demantius. The KammerChor Saarbrücken released the album Ko Matsushita: Consolatio - Contemporary Choral Music in 2019.
