About HAIQEEM

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is being invited over to my former next door neighbors house, her name was Mrs. Katie Watkins- She was Ms. Black Oklahoma back in the 1960's. My parents instantly put me on the spot and demand that I sing to her. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alanis Morissette, Flavors of Entanglement Disturbed, The Sickness (20th Anniversary Edition) Liz Phair, Exile In Guyville 2018 Remaster I choose these 3 records, because growing up- Primally these versions of indie and modern Rock and Pop have continued to shape the sound that feels so natural to me, nestled in sometimes Hard Rock aesthetics with a Pop and Folk sensibility. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Wrath” From the perspective of someone who politically has a religion but neglects to avidly practice, this one is when I felt like my pen did the walking, warning about a "Wrath" coming from 'high above it all, if I could change your heart...' What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My song "Don't Give A Damn" was considered for a Grammy (Best Rock Song) for the 62nd Grammy Awards, where I met Lzze Hale of Hailstorm. Like a noob, I asked her to open for her. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to keep continuing to make my living doing what I love, which is releasing and recording new music, touring the world, and continuing to inspire new generations of artists and bands of all genres.
