Emanuele Maniscalco

Drummer and pianist Emanuele Maniscalco is an adventurous musician with a bent toward exploratory modern creative jazz and rock. Born in Brescia, Italy in 1984, Maniscalco first took up the piano before switching to drums around age 12. Though largely self-taught, by his twenties Maniscalco was performing with such Italian jazz luminaries as Enrico Rava and Stefano Battaglia. In 2013, Maniscalco appeared with the Third Reel trio on their self-titled ECM debut. ~ Matt Collar
