In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first performance which was an event held far north Sokoto. Being invited by a friend who was the host, I knew it was a “test” and I’d have to travel solo due to the distance proximity which made me realize my journey would solely depend on me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? P-Square, Get Squared Sean Paul, The Trinity Wizkid, Made In Lagos These albums sure did contribute a lot in my artistic direction although at my earlier days as a music lover I wouldn’t know that yet, but subconsciously these sounds stuck in my head and I see a reflection of them whenever I create my sound. Tell us why you chose this song. “Yahoo Boi” This was one time I prophesied with my music “yahoo boi”, birthed June 2020 I sure did utilize the time Lock-down provided me recording & mixing … but I wouldn’t know 4 months later it’d turn out to be a nationwide protest #endsars What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first show which I tagged #escape1.0 a sold out event surprisingly. A fan walked up to me after I came down the stage and squeezed in my hand money saying it’s all he had wishing he had more. I was teary when I checked to see a 200 naira note. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’ve never had a music bucket list as music is an art I love to indulge in regardless of the challenges involved as an indie act but I would feel fulfilled if/when my music gets the attention it deserves hence giving me fame to manifest my calling
