Later, Tarkan began emphasising Turkish folk music in tracks like "Hüp" (Whoop), laying a spry oud melody over strings and a sensual disco thump. And on "Dudu" he proved himself a superior vocalist, acrobatically ornamenting songs like a Middle Eastern classical singer.
