Sam DeRosa has had music in her world for her whole life: the New York native’s parents are in the biz, and she honed her pop sensibilities at the Berklee College of Music. Shortly after graduating, she co-wrote her first hit, lovelytheband’s sweetly sad “Broken”; ever since that 2018 smash, she’s become known for penning relatable, hook-filled pop songs like Dixie D’Amelio’s “Be Happy” and her own Songland standout “Pill for This”.
