Russian child prodigy Olga Scheps toured Europe as a teen in the 2000s, quickly cementing her reputation for interpreting Romantic piano music, particularly Chopin and Russians like Scriabin, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky. Her commitment to chamber music is unwavering, and her performances remain squarely focused on Romantic solo piano music. But since the mid-2010s, she has also embraced classical crossover work by Ludovico Einaudi and piano adaptations of songs by Aphex Twin and the German pop-dance band Scooter, reshaping pieces to turn stylistic and temporal trends into something entirely her own.
