With a style forged in Milan’s underground freestyle scene, Massimiliano Figlia aka Nerone has become one of Italian rap’s most important figures. His calling card is his truly unmistakable voice: a fearsome rasp in the mould of The D.O.C. and Rick Ross. His delivery fires at machine-gun pace and with unbridled aggression, bringing sonic bite to tales of upsetting the odds (“By Myself”) and his difficult upbringing (“Mezze siga”). He's well known for his myriad collaborations, too, particularly with the likes of Jake La Furia and Nitro.
