French electropop enigma Mai Lan first landed on the radars of pop fans when she added her dreamy vocals to M83’s 2016 album Junk. Though the singer's sound is all her own, blending rap, pop and thumping house, her influences include Ed Banger’s chief sampler Borussia and the techno and trance-touting Moscoman as well as the tear-streaked R&B of Frank Ocean.
