Brothers Brad, Bryan and Curtis Rempel founded High Valley in the late ‘90s. Now helmed by Brad and his supporting band, the group crafts rousing, life-affirming pop-country that feels intimate and deeply personal even as they’re blasting stadium-sized choruses. They sing about the things that make life endlessly rich and confounding—love, family, faith and, of course, farming—and do it through an old-fashioned, bluegrass-tinted lens. They might favour traditional instruments like the banjo, but songs like the hooky, handclaps-heavy “She’s with Me” ground them firmly in a 21st-century country sound.
