But their legend was cemented in 1973 with “Radar Love”—a.k.a. the ultimate late-night driving song, with a pulsating bassline that leads the way like a headlight cutting through fog and a revved-up, sax-blasted chorus that puts the pedal to the metal. Ever the chameleons, the band later transitioned into ‘80s pop stars with the dramatic, synth-pumped epic “Twilight Zone”.
