For me (Yannick) and Vinc, it was our parents’ tour through France that we experienced as kids. For me (Jannik), it was watching "In the Air Tonight" with my dad – I wanted to learn drums afterward but ended up playing guitar instead (noise reasons). We wrote Drag Me Down at a time when each of us felt completely overwhelmed by different things in our lives. It’s about the pressure to seem okay when you’re not—and the fear of losing yourself along the way. Was ist einer der denkwürdigsten Momente in deiner bisherigen Karriere? Definitely our first show in Glasgow, Scotland — it was the first time we ever played there, and hearing the crowd sing our new song Drag Me Down with us was absolutely unforgettable! Playing in all the cities where our songs are heard. We’d also love to write and record a song in a remote cabin in Iceland, surrounded by nothing but nature and silence – that would be memorable!
